CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi and Emergency District No.2 fire crews quickly extinguished a brush fire today at the former Kings Crossing Golf course.

Mowing was being performed today by the property owner’s mowing crew. Fire investigators believe that extreme heat and dry conditions contributed to the fire caused by one of the mowing tractors. The Corpus Christi Fire Department is finalizing its investigation, including interviews with the property owner’s maintenance crew.

There was no loss of property, and no injuries were reported.
