The Chainsaw Man memes continues to flow as the school arc of Tatsuki Fujimoto's acclaimed shonen manga deepens the mystery around Denji.

Chainsaw Man meets a popular though slightly NSFW meme in a fan edited manga panel that's gone viral.

SPOILERS FOR CHAINSAW MAN CHAPTER 99 FOLLOW:

The new meme was created by Twitter user @AxiVaughn and blends a page from the latest chapter of Tatsuki Fujimoto's acclaimed Chainsaw Man, which recently returned with the premiere of Part 2 of the series, with a popular meme. The meme format begins with one character, usually a woman, suggestively asking a male character, "How big is that dick?," to which the man responds with "Small. Leave me alone." In this case, the meme was applied to Asa Mitaka, an anti-social highschool girl who is apparently the new main character of the manga's second arc, and a new boy she meets outside of her school in this chapter. In the original panel, Mitaka, who has been possessed by the War Devil, simply asks the boy if he wants to be her boyfriend, much to the horror of the normally socially awkward and timid Asa.

In addition to inspiring a lot of memes, which were previously focused around a Bucky, a pun-delivering chicken devil who was introduced in the previous chapter, Part 2 has been characterized by the notable absence of Denji, the main protagonist of the series' first arc and the young man who is capable of transforming into the titular chainsaw-wielding demon. Despite still not appearing in person, Chapter 99 offers some further details about Denji and confirms that the War Devil is intentionally trying to seek him out.

Part 2 began last week with the premiere of the School arc. The manga was previously on a hiatus that lasted over a year and began with the conclusion of the story's first arc, the Public Safety arc, in late 2020. In addition to beginning a new arc and introducing numerous new characters, Part 2 also marks the series' transition from Shuiesha's king-making manga magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump, and onto the publisher's digital manga platformer, Shonen Jump+. New chapters of the series are now released on digital formats first, and are available in English through VIZ Media's Manga Plus service.

Chainsaw Man was originally created by Fujimoto in 2018. The manga quickly became one of the publication's most critically-acclaimed titles, and developed a strong cult following that propelled the manga to a global circulation of over 12 million copies. Previous chapters in the series are available in print from VIZ Media.

An anime adaptation of the series is also currently in production at MAPPA, the animation studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season. While the anime has no confirmed premiere date, Crunchyroll has licensed the series and will stream it whenever it makes its debut.
