A brand new Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan film is doing the rounds on social media as The Sawyer Massacre trailer officially drops.

Sequanda Films will be holding it’s world premiere for a feature-length Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan film called “The Sawyer Massacre” which takes place several years before the original, in Austin, TX on August 26th.

While recovering from the loss of someone close, Jimmy’s friends bring him to the Texas

countryside to escape city life. In need of supplies for their cabin, they ascend to a gas station where they are directed to find their supplies at an isolated farmhouse. The property is not as it seems. They find themselves hunted by a cannibalistic psychopath with an arsenal of violent tools at his disposal. In the end, any that do escape his clutches will wish they hadn’t.

The movie raised funds via Indiegogo and smashed its funding goal. With the brand new Netflix release of the movie meeting quite the mixed reception folks are always looking for new ways to binge leatherface content.

This film is for any fans that are eager for a return of the gritty nature of the original. Fans will enjoy a fresh story that works on its own but fits very well with the original classic film.

Teaming up with indie film production companies Filmcore, Solar Squid Productions and Josh Skurnik Productions, Director Steve Merlo has produced a terrifying fan film that will have people talking and give nightmares like the original did. Also on the team is Arkansas based cinematographer, Charlie Brady of Brady Media Services, as well as a fantastic ensemble cast.
